What To Expect?
You can expect a laser treatment to take up to 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the type and size of the area being treated. During the treatment, you may experience some temporary sensations of heat and/or tingling, as well as redness.
After the treatment you may experience some swelling, redness, and/or dryness for a few days. To minimize discomfort, it is important to follow the post-treatment instructions given to you by your skin specialist. These instructions might include avoiding sun exposure and avoiding certain skincare products.
How many treatments will you need?
Melasma is a lengthy process and several sessions may be needed. After you complete your number of sessions, maintenance sessions will have to be done. Depending on the severity of the melasma, we recommend a minimum of 6 sessions.
