We use the fraxel laser of the Fotona machine to treat scarring as well as acne scarring. Due to the holes/cylinders that are drilled into the skin, the skin releases its natural healing properties because there is a minor “injury” to the skin. By releasing this property of the skin, the skin cell turnover increases to resurface the scar and collagen is also rebuilt in this area. Thus the skin repairs the scar as well as the skin texture around the scar.
